WD3: WHAT IS THE INDUSTRY DOING TO INCLUDE MORE WOMEN?

On the surface, trucking is not known for being female dominant. From equipment and facilities to standard uniforms and cab design, most things "trucking" are designed for men. In this episode, we dive beneath the surface and discover the ways the trucking industry is trying to encourage women to pursue careers in both trucking and logistics. We ask, what are industry executives doing to help bring more women into the fold, not only as drivers, but in leadership roles? How can we keep pushing towards a balanced boardroom? To get the clearest insight on the issue, host Mike Freeze talks with Ellen Voie, President and CEO of Women in Trucking and Debora Babin Katz, Vice President of TrucBrush Corporation. Although there is more pavement to cover, the road to more women in trucking is getting shorter and shorter. Tune in.
