Stacy Earnhardt has been elected TMC’s 2020-2021 general chairman and treasurer. He served this past year as the Council’s vice chairman and chairman of meetings. Earnhardt is the director of asset management and specialized operations for Best Specialized in Kernersville, N.C., supervising nearly 40 employees who keep the company’s 300 power units and 1,500 trailers on the road. He also runs Best’s flatbed and heavy-haul operation and the company’s warehouse facilities and mobile storage facilities. He has also received TMC's highest honor—The Silver Spark Plug award. Earnhardt has been involved in TMC for 13 years, specifically with initiatives relating to the driver’s experience and ways to improve the cab layout.

His experience includes a broad range of technical areas including electrical, tires/wheels, brakes, chassis, onboard vehicle electronics, engines, cab and controls, and fleet data management for Class 2-8 commercial vehicles. As Executive Director for ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC), Mr. Braswell is responsible for directing the Council’s $8.3 million operation and ensuring the effectiveness of all TMC programs, products, meetings and services covering all aspects of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicle engineering, maintenance and maintenance management.
